Hey there.

I sent in an application but I thought I'd embellish it a bit with this thread. I'm super new to BFBC2 (rank 24, <30 hours), but played BF1943 for a long time, and by the end of my career was into the 2500-3000 score / hour range (600-800 pts / match). I hope to be as good at BFBC2 in time.

I played with you guys last night (Tortuga/Spawnkiller/Robot) and I've seen you around before that as well. I'm a big fan from what I've seen in game and briefly on these boards. I'm looking for a mature, competitive, laid-back, no trash-talk, cohesive, non-elitist/hardcore clan and you guys fit the bill perfectly.

I'm 17 years old. Most guilds/clans I've been in before see this as a big issue (which I 100% understand), but I've never had a complaint regarding my maturity in the past despite hanging out in mature spaces. I do go to bed early (generally 10-11pm EST), but not because my parents are involved in some sort of bedtime. If I need to be up till 8am I can be. As far as scheduling, I'm available a lot over the summer, but school will be a little more interesting so we'll have to see. I'm in a fairly rigorous program at the moment that takes up a lot of my time (which has also disciplined me into waking up early to work).

I'm used to competitive gaming environments and I’m very laid back and relaxed. One of my strengths is communication which I get from when I used to play world of warcraft using VoIP. A youtube video from back in those days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J55A6F9EwIk .

So I'm going to list some stats at this point. I think stats in BFBC2 are pretty useless but most people find it interesting to check them out (I found spm useful in BF1943, but in BFBC2 even that statistic seems to be very skewed).

At the moment I sort of use the medic class as my crutch, but Im working to learn all the other classes at the same level that I play medic (about 2/3 of my career points come from medic). I generally get around 3000 points per match but I find that it varies so much that's it's hard to tell. My career average is around 17 500 pts / hour (300/min), currently I do significantly more than that.

If this post/app is braggy that totally wasn’t the vibe I was going for, but I just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t get rejected from what I think is an awesome guild (from all that Ive seen) because I didn’t sell my stats well enough. I knew this would keep happening too, I told Robot we should make the clan seem more hardcore or we'd keep getting these Genuine semi-competitive all around good person types in here. But whatta ya gonna do.

Ok I don't want to be Mr. Complain here. I understand that you guys (read: Robot) roll through a lot of applications and have to make rejection decisions fairly quickly. However, I do think it's *slightly* ridiculous that I am getting rejected on the basis of not having 10 000 kills when across the accounts Lakayaa and Irakandjii I actually do have 10 884 kills, perhaps close to 1000 of which are not actually my own. I'm cutting it, to be sure. But I think something that might separate me from other applications is that I have a genuine interest in the clan which is reflected in the long ass post I made above, and speaking as someone who used to lead a "guild" (clan) I know that that interest is much more important than half the statistics I could ever list on a profile.

I hope I don't come across as being a bitch here, but I want to at least be able to say that "I tried" by the end of this.



p.s. the account owner for Irakandjii isn't very good at BF (he enjoys and is better at more strategic games), so he tends to sit in a match for 15-20 minutes and come out with a couple hundred points each round. It's fairly accurate to say he's probably earned 1000 kills in his career.
